Shell owners appealed to the city to amend the current land use bylaw, allowing the Banff Shell location to be shared with the current automotive service and technician shop. The appeal was voted down due to the limited automotive shops servicing the local area, thus only allowing asset replacement and minor upgrades rather than a commercial build-out. The commercial build out would have included new retail space bringing the Shell location up to industry standards.

This project was a rebranding from Mac’s convenience store to the existing CIrcle K franchise. Interior and exterior upgrades were performed to ensure brand consistency and update the existing structure. Exterior upgrades included new signage and installation of EV station for charging.
